The Family Health Center at North General offers top quality patient-centered services to people of all ages, no matter what their financial situation or legal status. It offers primary medical care, behavioral health/counseling, dental services, HIV care, women's health care, insurance enrollment, and much more. Its doctors and nurses will work with you to take good care of your health and prevent future problems. The center accepts Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance. Patients without insurance are also welcome, and pay a discounted price based on their household income.
Appointments are recommended, but the center also accepts walk-ins. It is open seven days a week, 365 days a year from 8am until midnight Monday through Friday, and on weekends from 8am until 8pm. People with urgent, non-emergency concerns can visit the center instead of going to the emergency room.
In 2013, the center will move to a fully-renovated, state-of-the-art facility located at 119th Street and Madison Avenue.
