that is great! i also do some Iyengar Yoga . Havent tried Vinayasa though, may drop in for your class.
where are the classes held?
Vinyasa Yoga is a GREAT full body (and mind) workout! I would definitely try it if you haven't already. It connects the mind and body, and always leaves me refreshed after a lot of hard work.
well that is the point of yoga - any style. However, some styles focus on different techniques and the poses. In iyengar there is a lot of focus on correct alignment of the poses!
again no style is necessarily better - whatever works for each person is good.
Touche, sak. In any case, my point was that Yinyasa was definitely the style for me, after many unsuccessful attempts at other types of yoga.
yes - as i was saying - to each their own style! i will try vinayasa sometime. if you want to try Iyengar, then you should go to the Iynegar Yoga center on 22nd and 6th av in manhattan - they have excellent teachers and very good classes. i go once a week, mostly on wednesdays. my teacher is Tori Milner who is brilliant !
Beth is a lovely teacher. I can't recommend her too highly, no matter what your level. I met her the first summer she offered free yoga classes in Marcus Garvey Park. I hope she continues this marvelous gift to the community.
sounds really good. i will try to get to this class asap
interesting. will be on the lookout. are drop-ins welcome?
If you are referring to Transitions, it is a 12-week program that you need to register for. It is based on the book I wrote, "Dare to Lose" which you can view on amazon.com.
