WHAT: Muslim Prayer Service and Educational Seminar
The Mosque of Islamic Brotherhood presents World Aids Day Prayer Service + Educational Program for the Muslim Community. Following Salaatul-Magrib, we will offer supplications for Muslims who are living with HIV/AIDS throughout the world, or those whom we have known who have passed away from the disease. Imam Al-Hajj Talib ‘Abdur-Rashid (Executive Director, The African- African American Muslim Commission on HIV/AIDS) will make a powerpoint presentation on the Global Jihad Against AIDS being promoted by the
International Muslim Leaders Consultation on HIV/AIDS, as well as a look at the AIDS pandemic’s impact on New York City neighborhoods. The first M.I.B. HIV/AIDS quilt will also be exhibited.
