PHYSICAL EDUCATION CAMPAIGN: PARENT EDUCATIONAL FORUM

Happened February 28th

Are you a Parent? Did you know that many NYC schools are not meeting state requirements on Physical Education?

SAfH's campaign to reform physical education in NYC schools aims to improve physical education in NYC schools. In order to make some strides with our campaign, we need you – parents of NYC schools! We are offering a series of forums for parents that will aim to provide:

•Current status of physical education in NYC public schools
•Issues some schools face when it comes to meeting both NYS & NYC physical education policies.
•Insight on how the campaign will lead to solution based discussions
•Platform to voice their concerns to community stakeholders
•Tools necessary to organize and galvanize other parents

Date: February 28th, 2012
Time: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Location: Columbia Community Partnership for Health
