Family involvement during and after incarceration is known to reduce recidivism. But staying connected to family and maintaining healthy relationships can be challenging. This conversation will explore issues surrounding relationships when a loved one is incarcerated-and how to keep the love alive. Discussion topics include societal stigmas and stereotypes, emotional and financial strains placed on a family, the importance of communication and various ways loved ones can cope before, during and after incarceration.
