Free SAT Tutoring!

Happened April 2nd, 2009
Each spring and fall for nine consecutive weeks, Columbia, Barnard, New York University and Baruch College students serve as coaches to prepare under-served high school students for the SATs and college application process free-of-charge. And it is working!

High school participants are divided into ability based classes no larger than 5 students per coach, and are given SAT instruction from materials provided from Test Takers, a commercial SAT preparation company. The coaches also provide assistance with college selection, application essays and financial aid/scholarship opportunities. In fact, three of their students were named New York Times scholars this year.
