Taking Root tells the inspiring, true story of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Wangari Maathai. Deforestation in Maathai’s native country of Kenya made it difficult for rural women to easily access food and water. Maathai recognized that a barren landscape had severe socialconsequences. Come watch and learn how Maathai changed much more than the natural landscape by planting trees and forming the Green Belt Movement.
