End: November 14, 2012, 8:00 pm

Let your voice be heard! Are you a resident of East Harlem and work within an organization that serves East Harlem?

If you answered YES, you are invited to participate in a focus group discussion regarding the East Harlem Community this coming Wednesday, November 14th from 6pm- 8pm at Youth Action Programs and Homes 206 East 118th Street New York, NY 10035

I am a graduate student of the Urban Planning and Affairs program at Hunter College. My graduate research team and I are trying to gain a better understanding of the social and spatial makeup of East Harlem. We hope that you can help us understand what is really going on in your community. Ultimately, we hope to make community-centered recommendations to Hunter College helping to bridge the academic community to residents of East Harlem. Your responses will be kept confidential and used only for comparative purposes.

This focus group will take about an hour or two of your time. We will serve light appetizers and refreshments from a local East Harlem food establishment in the spirit of building connections and supporting local business.

If you are able join us, please RSVP by email at tbrathw@hunter.cuny.edu. If you are unable to make this event but you know someone that may be interested, please forward this information.

If you have any questions, feel free to email tbrathw@hunter.cuny.edu or contact my research advisor, Dr. Jill Gross via email igross@hunter.cuny.eduI look forward to seeing you there
