Concrete Safaris Harvest Festival

Concrete Safaris empowers youth to be healthy leaders through green exercise programs that enrich the mind, body, community & environment. Since 2008, the organization has empowered 1,500 creative,  proactive children to improve their heallth and transform over 14,000 square feet of open space on the  public housing property just outside their homes in East Harlem. Participating kids (ages 5 - 12) also hike local parks and regional mountains, take nature photos, learn about nutrition and healthy cooking,
teach their neighbors about recycling, and other environmental health projects of their choosing.
