A new exhibit space for photo contest winning entries
Several photographs from two photo essays that won the recent GetHealthyHarlem.org photo contest are currently on display at Land Yoga in Harlem. The photos in the exhibit represent the photographers’ ideas of what health in Northern Manhattan means to them.

You could help researchers understand how racism affects health
If you are an African American 18+ years old, living in Harlem or Bedford Stuyvesant you may be eligible to participate in a study on how racism affects health. The Black LIFE Study will be randomly contacting households in the two neighborhoods in the Fall of 2011. Participants receive $100. For more information about the study, see the attached flyer.
