Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association's program to raise awareness about women's heart health and it is coming to Harlem!
Get informed, make a change, become a health ambassador to your loved ones!
Details are TBD so please check the website for information as it is posted.
The event will be a one-day educational program and luncheon. It will provide attendees with important lifesaving information. Subjects will cover heart disease and stroke and steps you can take to help reduce risk factors for these leading causes of death. Information will be in the form of short stories, panel discussions and printed materials. The aim is to educate, inspire, and empower participants to make personal lifestyle changes towards improved cardiovascular health. Participants will be encouraged to make it their personal mission to serve as health ambassadors to help improve the heart-health of their families, friends and neighbors throughout Harlem.
Chaired by Patricia Butts, First Lady of the Abyssinian Church, the 2012 Harlem Go Red Educational Forum and Luncheon will honor, in memoriam, Dr. Muriel Petioni, “The Mother of Medicine in Harlem.”
