Dialing 311 in any of New York City's five boroughs will connect you 24 hours a day, seven days a week to a live person who will help answer your non-emergency related questions about New York City. You can ask the operator about anything in the city, and they will answer the question or connect you to the right city department or agency. Remember to still call 9-11 for all emergencies.
