In the real world, these two findings help explain why low glycemic eating, like the plan at the core of the Transitons Lifestyle System I use in my group and one-to-on coaching, increases the likelihood of success.
By "success" I mean the abiity to stay on a program for life and an increased feeling of well-being, as well as inches lost.
By the way, breaking it down, they've whittled their waists by a total of 17.5 inches.
Their average: 11.5" overall, 4.5" from the waist. (The other parts we measured were hips, chest, biceps and thighs.)
And, they showed no signs of stopping, since they were excited by their new menu, their new shapes, and the glowing energy and improved mood they were all experiencing. (No grouchy dieters, here!)
