During a breast self-exam, a woman checks her own breasts for any abnormal changes, such as lumps, liquid coming out of the nipple, or change in breast size.
Because checking your own breasts is easy and free, and may detect a lump that needs to be checked by a doctor, you should think about doing it once a month.
