African Dance Classes in Harlem - did someone say free?

This is my first blog ever. Why now? Thought I was too busy for it. But now I want to make time to discuss African dance. It has helped to save my life and maybe it can help save yours or someone you know. We (the collective we, cause we really don't do anything on our own) want you to know how to find out about African dance classes in Harlem. Please visit www.africandanceschedule.com and click on the dance classes in New York link.

First step: Look for Ester, Nafisa, crystal and Sandella's names. They all teach African dance, all are well versed at what they do and have been teaching and dance in the community for years. They bring joy to the heart while they help keep you fit or lead you down the road to being fit. Second step write down the day the class is going on as well as the time it starts and ends. Third step, location, location, location, write down the location, google it if you are not sure. It's always good to know where you are going exactly before you hit the pavement. Fourth step, get your clothes and things ready, remember "free" so all you need are gym clothes. What kind? anything where you can move freely in kicking your legs up, sitting on the floor with legs extended to the right and left corners of the room. That would be the clothes test. You will do that and lots of movement across the floor. Wrap skirts (lappas) are great for class. Be sure to have on shorts underneath.

Oh, once again the site is www.africandanceschedule.com. Next on this blog is dance class etiquette (courtesy/kindness/peace/love) on the dance floor! Promise to let me know if you take your first class in Harlem and if you already take class or maybe even teach class I want to know. How exciting!
